Upcoming Events at Salina Emergency Aid / Food Bank

Project Salina - May 2018

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

National Association of Letter Carriers

Save the date for Match Madness, March 15th. There are dozens of local nonprofits to choose from, including the Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank.
This one-day event is designed to generate new gifts to local nonprofits' endowed funds at Greater Salina Community Foundation (GSCF) for long-term support, as well as current gifts to help meet their immediate needs. It's a win-win!

When: March 15th, from 7am-7pm
Where: Salina Fieldhouse, 140 N. Fifth Street, Salina
(online donations can be made from 12am-11:59pm CST at www.matchmadnessgscf.org)
Here's how it works: You make a gift to one or more participating charities

with endowment funds at GSCF on March 14th (in-person or online).
GSCF matches your gift proportionally up to 50% in the form of an instant cash grant

to the charity to use for current needs. $100,000 in matching funds available. This year will include a Free Throw shooting contest. Each shot made benefits a charity!

Souper Bowl of Hope

Make a Difference Today
This year's event will be held October 21, 2018 at First Covenant Church.
We look forward to many of you joining us for another successful event!

Match Madness - March 2018

Empty Bowls Fundraiser

May is the time when businesses encourage
their employees to participate in collecting
food for five local agencies to help the hungry.
Ashby House, Salvation Army,
Salina Rescue Mission, DVACK and
the Salina Emergency Aid/ Food Bank
all benefit from your generosity.

The Souper Bowl of Hope is an effort of Salina Churches and businesses to gather cans of soup. Soup is collected several weekends before the official Super Bowl (Feb 4, 2018). The soup is donated to five organizations that feed the hungry. Those organizations include:

Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank
Salina Salvation Army
Salina Rescue Mission
Ashby House
Domestic Violence Association of Central Kansas

in our community this year. The 26th annual food drive event
was May 12, 2018.  More than 28,000 pounds of food was collected.
Many volunteers helped by driving trucks to pick up donations,
and unloading and processing donations at the
