Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

their employees and customers to participate in collecting food for five local agencies to help the hungry. Ashby House, Salvation Army,
Salina Rescue Mission, DVACK and
the Salina Emergency Aid/ Food Bank
all benefit from your generosity.​​
Are you interested in helping "Stamp Out Hunger" in our community? 
The 28th annual Letter Carrier's food drive event is scheduled for
May 9, 2020.  Last year more than 28,000 pounds of food was
collected.  Many volunteers are needed to help by driving trucks to
pick up donations,  unload and process donations at the Post Office   
and Emergency Aid / Food Bank. For information about helping at

Upcoming Events at Salina Emergency Aid / Food Bank

Save the date for Match Madness, March 19th. There are dozens of local nonprofits to choose from, including the Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank. This one-day event is designed to generate new gifts to local nonprofits' endowed funds at Greater Salina Community Foundation (GSCF) for long-term support, as well as current gifts to help meet their immediate needs. It's a win-win!
When: March 19, from 7am-7pm
Where: Salina Fieldhouse, 140 N. Fifth Street, Salina

Here's how it works: You make a gift to one or more participating charities

with endowment funds at GSCF on March 19th (in-person or online).
GSCF matches your gift proportionally up to 50% in the form of an instant cash grant

to the charity to use for current needs. $100,000 in matching funds available. This year will include a Free Throw shooting contest and Half Court Shot Contest. Each shot made benefits a charity! 

Match Madness - March 2020

​The Souper Bowl of Hope is an effort of Salina Churches and businesses to gather cans of soup. Soup is collected several weekends before the official Super Bowl (Feb 2, 2020). The soup is donated to five organizations that feed the hungry. Those organizations include:

Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank
Salina Salvation Army
Salina Rescue Mission
Ashby House
Domestic Violence Association of Central Kansas

​Mark your calendars for September 19th. You won't want to miss EAFB's Fall Fundraiser. Help stock the shelves of the Food Bank by attending this one of a kind event. Catered by Hickory Hut BBQ and featuring live music by Brandon Smith. Silent Auction items include Estes Park Cabin, KC Chiefs vs. Denver Bronco Tickets and other exciting items.
